Charity Campaign Purple Horse 2024

The life-size Purple Horse has been an ambassador for the International Frankfurt Festhallen Reitturnier since 2016 now and collects donations for charity projects every year. The Purple Horse is made unique by the golden handprints of supporters, prominent riders and personalities.

With the charity campaign, the partners and visitors of the International Frankfurt Festhallen Reitturnier show their solidarity with the metropolitan region and pool their commitment to selected projects and people who need support - hand in hand for the region.

We are living in very crisis-ridden and worrying times. Supportive cooperation, consideration and mutual understanding are particularly important here.

As the highlight of the campaign, the Purple Horse will be raffled off at the 51th International Frankfurt Festhallen Reitturnier on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Individual educational opportunities and integration are a key element for the communal and peaceful coexistence of our society. That is why we want to support two educational initiatives this year that focus on children and especially girls with a migration or refugee background:

MädchenbüroMilena e.V. in Frankfurt

Diesterweg-Scholarship in Offenbach

The current war and crisis zones continue to bring many refugee children, girls and young women to us. Many of them currently have the chance to go to our schools or take part in an apprenticeship. However, the tragic circumstances and the language and cultural barriers make it difficult for them to arrive and settle down.

We are pleased to be able to make a contribution to the integration process with the selected projects and to offer educational and integration opportunities.

MädchenbüroMilena e.V., a dedicated educational and integration centre for girls and women with and without a refugee background, is celebrating a successful decade.

Since its foundation in 2014, the organisation has offered a wide range of practical, holistic educational, cultural and leisure activities tailored to the individual needs of the participants.

Since its foundation, MädchenbüroMilena e.V. has supported the remarkable amount of 491 children and young people, 701 women and 491 infants.

The organisation was visited by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier in 2019, received the Integration and Diversity Award of the City of Frankfurt am Main in 2022 and the Humanity Award of the Masonic Lodge of Unity in 2024.

The mission of MädchenbüroMilena e.V. is to organise integration in a flexible and innovative way in line with social requirements.  It is a shining example of how integration can be successfully realised.

The Diesterweg-Scholarship was developed by the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft Frankfurt. It is the first educational scholarship for families in Germany that specifically supports gifted and motivated children on their way from primary school to secondary school and at the same time involves the parents in the process.

The scholarship enables gifted children to overcome existing educational barriers that exist due to their background or social environment. Since 2015, the Diesterweg-Scholarship in Offenbach has been supporting young people in their development and thus overcoming social or societal barriers.

The Linsenhoff Foundation has been accompanying and supporting the project, which is implemented by the Bürgerstiftung Offenbach, since the first generation in 2015. 84 children, half girls and half boys, and their families have been able to take part in the scholarship programme so far.

Currently, 15 pupils from 9 primary schools in Offenbach from 9 countries of origin are taking part in the 5th generation of the scholarship programme together with their families over a period of two years.
